摘要：An application program interface (API) links an interpretive runtime engine to analternate application development environment. The API includes a generic API layer thatis configured to translate an output from the alternate application development

environment into a corresponding signal that is recognizable by the interpretive runtimeengine. The API also includes a dictionary-specific API layer that is configured torepresent a dictionary associated with the interpretive runtime engine in an alternateformat that is consistent with operation within the alternate application developmentenvironment.
