He was born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, and died of heart disease. He is the founder of modern Chinese art and one of the outstanding painters in China. He is good at painting, especially horse painting, and expresses the passion and of Chinese people.

Xu Beihong was first famous for his ink painting of horses and birds. However, most of his works are of traditional Chinese style. He made great efforts to create a new national art form.

He combined Chinese brush and ink techniques with Western perspective and composition methods, and integrated the firmness of brush strokes with the precision of form. 三、

Xu Beihong was born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China. On July 6, Xu Beihong studied Chinese classical painting and calligraphy with his father Xu Dazhang. He began to study Chinese painting at the age of 9 and studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris at the age of 9.

There, he studied oil painting and painting, returned to China in, and from then on, he obtained many positions in some institutions in China, including in the National Center of the former capital Nanjing During his teaching in Central University, he was famous for his ink painting (Chinese ink painting). He was one of the first artists to elaborate the need of artistic expression, reflecting the new modern China at the beginning of the century.
