摘要：Methods for the treatment and prevention of pulmonary infections aredisclosed, in particular, methods comprising the administration of one or more anti-selectin agents to a patient diagnosed with a pulmonary infection. Anti-selectin agentsthat inhibit leukocyte recruitment to the lungs have been found to be beneficial for thetreatment of lung infections, including infections associated with chronic bronchitis,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, pneumonitis, acuterespiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS),sarcoidosis, cystic fibrosis (CF), emphysema, asthma, smoker's cough, allergy, allergicrhinitis, sinusitis and pulmonary fibrosis.
