belong to 意为“ ”,它一般不用于进行时态和被动语态。 The hair band belongs to Anna. (√) The hair band is belonging to Anna. (×)
此外, belong to sb. 通常可以和名词性物主代词或名词所有格(一般是’s 所有格)互相转换。
如:The blue jacket belongs to him / Jerry. → The blue jacket is his / Jerry’s. 2. Well, where did you last put it ?

last adv. last除用于句末外, 还常置于句子中间。 When did you see him last?
3. I attended a concert yesterday so it might still be in the music hall. join指加入 等, 成为其中一员。
e.g. join the Army/the Party/the League join sb. in (doing) sth. e.g. Will you join us in the picnic?
take part in 指 , 说明主语参加该项活动并在活动中发挥作用。 e.g. We’ll take part in the sports meeting/club. take an active part in attend 正式用语 vt. 指参加 等。 e.g. I attended a night school. 4. I think somebody must have picked it up.
must在此处表示推测, 意为“一定”。英语中当情态动词后接have done时, 表
达对过去的事情进行推测, 故must have done something表示“过去一定做过了”这样的意思。
e.g. He’s playing outside. He must have finished his homework. 【当堂练习】

情态动词表推测,可能性:must> can/could> may/might 一、must
表示可能性 的肯定推测,意思是“ ”。只能用于肯定句。如果要表示“一定不”,应该用can't。如果询问可能性时,应该用can。 e.g. He must know the answers. He can't know the answers. 二、can/could
can表示推测“ ”时,一般用于否定句或疑问句。can在疑问句中意思是“会,可能”。

could 用于表示某事有 发生或 是事实。 e.g. Don’t eat it. It could go bad.
could可用于表示 的请求语气。 Could you please help me with my homework? 三、may/might
may, might表示推测“ ”时,意思是“可能”,“也许”。might不表示过去时态,语气更委婉,可能性更小。may, might表推测时,可用于否定句,但不用于疑问句。
e.g. He may/ might not be at home, but I'm not sure. 四、推测时态
1. must: 推测现在/ 正在/ 过去发生的动作。 He must have a car now. 2. can/ can’t 后可接进行时/完成时,表示对现在发生的动作或过去发生的动作进行推测。 They can’t be reading in the library.
3. may,might 可以推测现在正在发生的动作或过去发生的动作,还可以推测将来的情况。 He may/might be sleeping now. 【当堂练习】 用must, might, could, can’t 完成对话。 A: Tom, you look worried. What’s the matter?
