摘要：The apparatus has means for generating a set of characteristic vectors whichserve to approximately describe an input signal and which are associated withpredetermined sample intervals of the signal. The arrangement also has circuitry forproviding a hidden Markov model (HMM) for the signal. The arrangement determines aprobability value which defines the probability that the set of vectors will occur in theHMM model. A threshold value circuit compares the probability value with a thresholdvalue and makes a decision on the verification of the signal. The apparatus also includesmeans for automatic, person specific evaluation of the relevance of the characteristics
combined in the vector set, by an LDA transformation, and for automatic selection ofcharacteristic considered relevant.
