Patience is …………to decide whether…….. . Without patience, people are easy to lose temper and give up. fired up, super-charged and keep clear mind. Besides, the research shows the busier people are, the happier they are. Of course, I don’t like to be over-scheduled, over-stressed and over-busy, this will lead to higher anxiety and ultimate unhappiness.

As a student, I feel busiest in the end of semesters, since I have to prepare for the final exams of all subjects. Some teachers also require us to write essays. When it comes to this time, I feel really overwhelmed and exhausted.

It depends, if I’m busy doing things I like, I never feel stressed or anxious, while when it comes to something I’m not interested in at all, I’ll get pressured.

I liked all the presents I have received. Some presents may not appear to be very useful, but they are a symbol of friendship and love, so I cherish them all.

Birthday to me now is much less important than it used to be. Sure. Compared to living in the downtown, which is always chaotic and congested, we are fortunate to live in the current flat. Because it’s only 10 minutes walking distance to a botanical park with a diversity of trees, flowers and some precious plants. Looking out from my bedroom, I can see a big piece of the park. See, we rarely worry about air pollution, for there’s continually abundant fresh oxygen.

My favorite room is my own bedroom. It has a huge French window from which sunshine pours into the room in bight days. In the small balcony, I plant several flowers like jasmine and peony. They are so fragrant and gorgeous that I always imagine my room to be a small paradise for a cozy and relaxing life.

Yes. I leant the basic forms of drawing when I was in the kindergarten and primary school. I could draw a little of water-color and crayon painting. My teacher also taught me sketch but I’m not good at it.

Painting is a good way to inspire one’s imagination and passion in arts. Additionally, it’s a good expression for thoughts in mind. Actually, whenever one wants to express something, he can try speaking, writing as well as drawing. Apparently, the last one is much cooler!

17. Countryside

The countryside is a paradise for relaxation and being close to the nature. There are less people, noise and traffic. Instead, we can enjoy the thriving greenery, fresher air and enchanting natural scenery. How wonderful! 喜欢吗

Certainly. Countryside is far different from cities. The city is congested and chaotic/noisy. However, the rural areas are peaceful, clean and full of fresh air. My grandparents have a garden where they plant organic vegetables and fruits. Compared to the high-rise concrete buildings in metropolises. Everything in the countryside is more lively and natural.

Basically, the current countryside is still livable. However, with more and more people begin to buy houses in outskirts/swarm to buy cheaper houses, I’m afraid the countryside will be bound to be polluted by too many residents. I’ll probably become more chaotic and congested.

Not too much. But the biology class in high school introduced me some basic knowledge about plants. For instance, the process of growth of plants. From the seed, to stem, leaves, blossoms and finally the flowers. As for trees, there are many kinds like deciduous like the apple tree and evergreen line pine trees. People can also plant vegetables and certain fruits in the greenhouse.

The growth of plants is demanding in the quality of soil, temperature and proper locations. So if we plant them outdoor in the garden, we have to make the soil ready, and then sow the seeds, water them regularly and weeding is also important.

I once tried to plant the cucumber and lettuce in my grandmother’s garden in a village. It was full of fun. I planted them in the early summer and when I went there again in several weeks, the cucumber vines were long and with many ripe cucumbers, while the lettuce was so good that we tried them as salad ingredient.

Sure. I always have the passion to go shopping for new clothes, accessories and shoes either alone or accompanied by a friend. Compared to the public transportation, I prefer driving my own car. When I was a student, I took the bus and subway/underground/metro to school for years. And this stage impressed a lot but not for any good memory. The bus was so crowded that I often got out of breath, while the metro was quite smelly in summer. So when I got my first saving account, I bought a car without any hesitation. 学生族

As a student, I take the public transportation all the time. Years ago, taking the bus and cab/taxi was a nightmare…………summer. However, nowadays, things have become better. The public transportations are quite economical, cozy and efficient currently.

Like most cities of China, my hometown is faced with various traffic problems like traffic jam, accidents, illegal parking or forging the license plates. Of course, compared to the traffic congestion, the other problems are less challenging. The city has become more and more congested in recent years. Citizens have been purchasing more private cars, and this no doubt is giving burdens to the city traffic system.

In order to solve the problem, both the government and citizens should do efforts. The government is supposed to plan more metro routes, set up particular bus lanes and also enlarge the capacity of the public vehicles. As a typical night owl, I don’t hit the hay till midnight nearly every weekday. When it comes to/as for/In terms of the weekends, it’ll be even later. My friends said it’s a bad habit, but I found my mind is often clearer and response quicker in deep night. Because I’m an engineer having to do many innovative things…….

2. 早睡早起的

I think I’m a well-organized person. I hit the hay before 10 and get up at 7. Before sleeping, I have one hour to read books or listen to music and then do some meditation for minutes. And the first thing after getting up I’ll do is jogging.

3. 失眠的（难度系数大，量力而为）

Sleeping is a sensitive word to me, because I’ve been suffering the chronic insomnia/sleeplessness for a long time. I can’t find the reason. Falling asleep is so easy for others but so challenging for me. So I don’t have a fixed time for getting to bed or waking up.

4.睡不着怎么办

Many people recommend the popular ways like counting the sheep or listening to the light music for a while. But neither of them worked on me. My way is to do some meditation or try the self-hypnosis I learnt from a book. Just think about a beautiful scenery picture in mind and gradually lose consciousness.
