摘要：A method and apparatus for allowing the simultaneous laying of at least twopipes from a pipe-laying barge using at least two coaxially aligned pipe tensioners,wherein a first pipe tensioner tensions a first pipe and allows a second pipe to pass freelythrough the tensioner, while a second pipe tensioner tensions the second pipe and allowsthe first pipe to pass freely through it. The apparatus preferably uses modifiedconventional equipment so that the barge will be able to lay large pipe with theconventional \"stovepipe\" laying operation.
