摘要：A polyester polyol, referred to hereinafter as a MHMS polyol comprises fattyacid based mer units wherein at least about 80 weight percent of the fatty acid basedmer units are from methyl 9 (10) hydroxymethylstearate, or is prepared from an oilhaving fatty acids or fatty acid esters which are at least about 80 weight percent oleic acidor esters thereof and which has an average hydroxyl functionality of from 1.5 to 4. Areaction product, referred to herein after as MHMS alkoxysilane prepolymer, is producedfrom at least one such MHMS polyol and at least one isocyanate functional silane. Theprepolymer is moisture cured to form a silylated MHMS polymer. The process ofpreparing a MHMS polyol comprises (A) reacting a fatty acid ester wherein at least about80 weight percent of the fatty acid esters are methyl 9 (10) hydroxymethylstearate, orare prepared from an oil having fatty acids or fatty acid esters which are at least about 80weight percent oleic acid or esters thereof with an initiator having at least 2 reactivegroups selected from primary hydroxyl groups, amine groups, terminal isocyanategroups, terminal carbonyl groups or a combination thereof. The process of preparing atleast one MHMS alkoxysilane prepolymer comprises steps of: (a) supplying at least one

MHMS polyol; (b) supplying at least one isocyanate functional silane and (c) admixing theMHMS polyol and isocyanate functional silane or combination thereof, optionally in thepresence of at least one catalyst to produce at least one MHMS alkoxysilaneprepolymer. A process of preparing at least one silylated MHMS polymer comprisessteps of: (a) supplying at least one MHMS alkoxysilane prepolymer; and (b) exposing it tomoisture under conditions such that at least one silylated MHMS polymer is formed.Articles comprising the polyol, prepolymer, or polymer include elastomers, sealants,adhesives, coatings and the like.
